City/State Doral, FL Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Overview AvMed, headquartered in Miami, provides commercial group, individual, and Medicare Advantage coverage to more than 200,000 members. The Director of Sales (Commercial and Individual Sales-AvMed Health Plans) role requires an effective influencer capable of developing credible business relationships inside & outside the organization while providing leadership, direction & management for all direct reports. Candidate competencies include:

Significant health insurance/managed care sales experience, with a strong track record of selling large, complex, employer groups.

Demonstrated experience in the Florida public sector, including municipalities, counties, school districts and other governmental entities.

Strong experience leading and responding to public-sector and large group RFPs/ITNs, including navigating the procurement and finalist presentation process.

Established relationships with major consulting and brokerage firms in Florida.

A strong understanding of the Florida competitive landscape – the key consultants, brokers, decision-makers, competitors and major accounts.

A proven record of prospecting, developing a pipeline and successfully closing large, complex opportunities in healthcare insurance/managed care.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Certification
- Must obtain a L-HIL or L-LIFEHI within 90 days of hire.
Location
- Hybrid: Two days per week in the Doral, FL office.
Experience
Minimum of 4 years of Sales Leadership experience in the Florida market:

Building and managing customer relationships.
