What You'll Do
As a Cook II, you'll play a vital role in preparing nutritious, appealing meals while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety. Responsibilities include:

Prepare meals for patients, residents, visitors, and staff

Cook a variety of menu items from scratch using standardized recipes
-
Follow production schedules while minimizing food waste
-
Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
-
Accurately complete food temperature logs and production records
-
Ensure food is attractively presented and served with quality in mind
-
Keep kitchen work areas, storage rooms, and equipment clean and organized
-
Participate in daily production meetings and work collaboratively with the Nutritional Services team
What We're Looking For
Required:

Previous cooking experience
-
Experience preparing meals from scratch using recipes

Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, proper food handling, cooking temperatures, and kitchen equipment

Ability to organize multiple tasks in a busy kitchen environment
Preferred:

Experience working under HACCP standards

Previous hospital, nursing home, or healthcare food service experience

Formal culinary education or training beyond high school
