Insight Global is partnering with a large federal client the Virginia area to identify a Systems Maintainer to join their team. This individual will play a key role in supporting the reliability, performance, and overall lifecycle of mission-critical systems within a secure environment.

On a day-to-day basis, this person will be responsible for executing system maintenance activities, including implementing updates, enhancements, and system improvements to ensure optimal performance and uptime. They will develop, update, and maintain accurate, concise, and compliant maintenance and operational documentation in alignment with federal and program-specific standards.

This role will also serve as a key contributor in the ticket escalation and resolution process, troubleshooting system issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing long-term solutions to prevent recurring problems. The Systems Maintainer will proactively monitor system health, identify risks, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve system stability and efficiency.

Additionally, this individual will work closely with a broader team of systems maintainers, engineers, and program stakeholders to support continuous operations in a high-availability environment. Strong collaboration, adherence to security protocols, and the ability to operate independently within a cleared setting are critical to success in this role.

This role will be fully onsite 5 days a week and requires a TS/SCI CI Poly clearance. Core operating hours are from 7am-3pm.

Skills and Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with a CI polygraph required

  • 3+ years of prior relevant experience (along with degree to match LCAT)

  • Linux Command Line experience

  • Knowledge of Tier II system maintenance and troubleshooting • Bachelor's degree

  • Service now experience

  • Proficiency with any of the following

o Linux, Red hat, Unix and/or Windows based OS application management

  • Script development and implementation
