Description: Position Summary:

The Director of Nursing Logistics is responsible in assur ing the delivery of quality, efficient and safe health care services. This Nursing leader will be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the staffing office, float/per diem staff, agency nurses, s cheduler, House Supervisors, Transfer Call Center and Bed Control . Director of Nursing Logistics will be innovative in their approach and meet the demands of a fast-paced, time sensitive environment. P osition will be proactive in meeting the needs of the organization through insight into specific needs of the patient care units with respect to census fluctuations and staffing challenges. Patient flow will also be a prime responsibility in which improvements will be made by using data to analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate patient throughput initiatives across the organization. Position may also take on additional responsibility as it relates to the needs of the patient care areas.

What the Director of Nursing Logistics will need:

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Maintains current Georgia professional nursing license
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required . Master’s Degree preferred .
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years leadership/management experience. Extensive experience working closely with physicians, families, patients and peers and the ability to gain trust and credibility. Ability to work effectively as a team member while assuming a leadership role within the organization.
