Successful candidates bring Bachelor Degree In Chemistry Or Similar Disciplines, 7+ Years Experience In Regulated Commercial Lab Environment, and 2+ Years Protocol And Report Writing Experience. Important skills include LNG Experience, Protocol Writing, Report Writing, Advanced Knowledge Of Routine Testing Methods, and Discipline. Preferred (not required): Chemical Properties Evaluation, Physical Properties Evaluation, Organic Substances Analysis, and Inorganic Substances Analysis.

Full job description
Evaluates the chemical and physical properties of various organic and inorganic substances for consumer product testing purposes. Independently conducts sample analysis of different complexity, preparation, extraction, and digestion with and without the use of instrumentation following official methods and laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Serves as a technical resource for Chemists. Leads the team in analytical techniques and analysis of data. Has limited responsibility for employees (trains new staff). Hand-on leader 50% or more works as Chemist.

Evaluates the chemical and physical properties of various organic and inorganic substances for consumer product testing purposes.

Independently conducts sample analysis of different complexity, preparation, extraction, and digestion with and without the use of instrumentation following official methods and laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Serves as a technical resource for Chemists.

Leads the team in analytical techniques and analysis of data.

Provide ‘best in class’ service to clients by promptly communicating issues or delays

Training of all Laboratory personnel

Monitor performance of lab staff and employ coaching and discipline as needed.

Supervise and provide guidance to receiving specialists to aid in sample login and transport of clients’ samples.

Provide assistance to clients in explaining Laboratory analysis, and technical solutions where appropriate.

Assuming responsibility of authenticity Laboratory Certificates of Analysis

Receive orders from clients on submitted samples, follow up on job progress and reports status to clients

Make recommendations to Regional Laboratory manager on upgrading the Laboratory

Take an active role in local marketing efforts

Maintain a thorough understanding of sampling techniques and sample sources.

Perform testing and analysis, as well as other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Assure compliance with Laboratory Q.A. Manual and Safety Manual

Understand and keep current with lab quality practices and SOPs.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned Must have LNG experience

7+ years of experience in a regulated commercial lab environment

2+ years of protocol and report writing experience

Advanced knowledge of routine & non-routine testing methods OR
-
Bachelor Degree in Chemistry and similar disciplines
