As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Manson, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government corrections location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.

• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeters, access points, and parking areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.

• Monitor and control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and reporting access concerns in accordance with site procedures.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using authorized equipment and following applicable laws, policies, and post orders.

• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
