Paraprofessional | 2026-2027 School | Year Fall River, MA Area | $25/hour | 32.5 Hours per Week
*Applicants must hold an Associates Degree or passed the Parapro Exam or passed the RBT exam.
Amergis Educational Staffing is partnering with schools in the Fall River area to hire dedicated Paraprofessionals for the 2026-2027 school year. Openings are available across elementary, middle, and high school settings, with schedules varying by grade level.

Multiple school-based opportunities available
Responsibilities May Include:

Supporting students with autism and other developmental disabilities
-
Assisting students who are non-verbal, have limited verbal communication, or use communication devices
-
Providing behavioral support for students who may demonstrate non-compliance, aggression, or elopement behaviors
-
Supporting students with social-emotional, behavioral, and therapeutic needs
-
Assisting students in both specialized classroom settings and inclusive general education environments
-
Encouraging academic progress, independence, and positive peer interactions
-
Collaborating with teachers and special education staff to help students achieve individualized goals
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

Must meet at least one of the following requirements:
-
Associate's degree or higher
-
Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment

Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
-
Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with special needs preferred

Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work effectively as part of a school-based team

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required

Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice

Current CPR if applicable
-
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
-
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
