Description
Nursing Assistant Clinical Instructor
Location: Lehi, UT
Status: Part-time
Hours: Monday–Saturday, mornings or afternoons. Shifts are either 8 ½ or 4 hours. Clinical shifts available for Utah County locations

Summary
As a Nurse Assistant Clinical Instructor, you will play a crucial role in preparing the next generation of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) by providing hands-on clinical supervision. You will guide students through real-world experiences in long-term care, transitional care, and assisted living facilities, ensuring they develop the skills, professionalism, and confidence needed to succeed in the healthcare field. Your mentorship will directly impact their ability to provide compassionate and competent patient care. This role requires travel to various clinical sites in Utah County.

What You'll Do:
Responsibilities of the Nurse Assistant Clinical Instructor include, but are not limited to:

Oversee and mentor small groups of up to 12 CNA students during their clinical rotations.

Ensure students gain practical experience by demonstrating and supervising essential nursing procedures.

Evaluate and document student performance, including clinical skills, professionalism, and competency.

Maintain supervision of students at all times during clinical shifts, ensuring adherence to healthcare facility policies and industry standards.

Work closely with the Clinical Coordinator to arrange and manage clinical experiences.

Serve as a substitute classroom instructor when approved by UNAR.
What We're Looking For:

Education Requirements: A high school diploma or the equivalent.

Experience: Must have at least two years of nursing experience in a long-term care facility or providing care for the elderly or chronically ill.

Licensing & Certification: Must be a licensed nurse (LPN, RN, BSN) with a current, active Utah License to Practice in good standing with the Utah Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing.

Training: Must complete a UNAR-approved "Train the Trainer" program, with proven competence in supervising nursing assistants.

Organizational Abilities: Strong skills in time management, multitasking, and organization to efficiently handle multiple responsibilities.

Commitment: A minimum of five clinical shifts per semester as part of the instructional team.
