As an Associate Product Owner in JPMorgan Private Equity Group (PEG), you will lead execution of digital solutions and operating models that enhance PEG's investment, diligence, portfolio monitoring, and reporting processes. In addition, you will support Portfolio Managers (PMs) in client facing roles by utilizing data to streamline client presentations and ad hoc requests as well as automate recurring tasks. This role partners closely with investment teams, operations, and technology to translate business needs into actionable product requirements and support delivery of high-impact initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile methods such as sprint planning, grooming, estimation and retrospective and co-manage complex product backlogs

  • Support the development, execution, and steady-state maintenance of PEG's technology platform

  • Support Digital Strategy engagements and Leadership updates

  • Manage the day-to-day activities for core product design through leading product discoveries, establishing product discovery and design frameworks, defining the core product discovery process, and recruiting business users for conducting user interviews

  • Develop high fidelity prototypes and perform technical and business viability of prototypes and ensure compliance with firm-wide user experience standards for PEG technology products across geographies

  • Automate recurring client deliverables such as monthly cash flow and quarterly valuation reconciliations

  • Lead "Design thinking" style engagements with internal product teams and Investment Management teams with creative discretion on day-to-day product Design operations

  • Support vendor management and business resource group activities - MSCI, Canoe

  • Provide PMs access to enhanced analytics relating to portfolio construction, performance, and liquidity by incorporating data sourced both internally from PEG-generated systems as well as from PEG's vendor network

  • Lead junior product managers in carving out minimum viable product backlogs and roadmaps

  • Drive transformation of our product development and design process into one that leverages human centered Interface (HCI) design and Agile and scrum development methodologies with a focus on actively engaging business users in internal product development

  • Lead design and execution of cloud-based technical architectures and full-stack hands-on development of solutions

  • Participate in the overall implementation and scaling of the digital cloud-based products

  • Quality Assurance of developed products

  • Define KPIs, Northstar and change management to drive adoption of products

  • Support any related product operations including vendors

  • Understanding of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in private equity, consulting, product management, or digital transformation

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills

  • Experience with workflow mapping, requirements gathering, and agile delivery practices

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Master's degree in business (MBA) with specialization in Finance, Strategy and Change Management.

  • Familiarity with private equity deal processes, fund structures, and investor reporting

  • Experience with enterprise data platforms, CRM systems, or deal management tools

  • Exposure to AI/ML applications or document-intelligence technologies
