Full job description
Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center is hiring part-time weekend cooks!
Every other weekend 6a-2p at $20 an hour with weekly pay. We are an award-winning all-male skilled nursing facility.
Job Responsibilities:

Prepare, cook, and plate resident meals in accordance with therapeutic diets ordered by physicians
-
Ensure the proper serving temperature of food and maintain its visual appeal
-
Monitor daily nourishments, follow standardized recipes, and adhere to sanitation and storage policies
-
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
-
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with residents, families, and colleagues
-
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Dining Services
Requirements:
-
Prior culinary experience required
-
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
-
Ability to make independent decisions and work harmoniously with personnel, residents, and families
-
Knowledge of dining service procedures and related laws, regulations, and guidelines
-
Leadership ability, willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel
-
Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm when interacting with residents and colleagues
-
Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and the appearance of work areas
