Job Description

We are hiring a Construction Manager (CM) Support resource to support a large-scale wind turbine capital enhancement project. This individual will act as an on-site owner’s representative responsible for observing construction activities, ensuring safety and compliance, and documenting daily progress. This is not a supervisor or PM role—you will not direct contractor work. Instead, you are the eyes and ears on site, ensuring work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule.

You will provide field oversight of wind turbine construction activities, including equipment overhauls, turbine enhancements, and transformer replacements. This includes monitoring contractor work to ensure proper tool usage, safe work practices, and correct material handling, while staying aligned with daily work plans and overall project progress. You will be responsible for completing daily reports within 12 hours of each shift, capturing work completed and planned, progress against schedule, safety concerns, and any abnormalities, along with photo documentation. You will also attend daily meetings with contractors and the internal team, act as a communication bridge between both groups, and escalate any issues or risks in real time.

This is a non-directive role, meaning you will not provide instruction to contractor crews. Your responsibility is to observe, document, and escalate. You are empowered to stop work if there is an immediate safety risk, potential damage to equipment, or clear non-compliance, and should escalate all concerns promptly to project leadership.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances.
