Production Material Controller

A Snapshot of Your Day

The Grid Technologies Products (GT PR) business unit in Richland, MS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production MaterialController (1 st shift but 2 nd shift may be required) to support operations. In this role, you will coordinate and request material deliveries from the warehouse to ensure timely, accurate supply for multiple product groups within the factory. You will work closely with production supervisors and planners to ensure materials are available in the right quantities, at the right location, and at the right time. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting Kanban systems, and enabling smooth material flow through proactive pre-staging and picking activities, contributing directly to production efficiency and overall site performance.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Coordinateand request required materials from the warehouse, ensuring correct type,quantity, and on-time delivery to production areas.

• Collaboratewith production supervisors and planners to anticipate material needsbased on build plans, schedules, forecasts, and BOM/MRP requirements.

• Trackinventory levels, perform parts ordering, maintain accurate materialrecords, and report discrepancies or shortages.

• Monitormaterial flow, resolve material-related issues quickly, and supportcontinuous improvement initiatives to prevent production delays.

• Participatein inventory audits and cycle counts while adhering to company policiesand safety procedures.

• Workcross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, and Logistics;demonstrate strong computer skills, self-motivation, and flexibility forovertime as needed.

What You Bring

• Highschool diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics, supplychain, or related field is a plus.

• Experiencein material control, inventory management, or warehouse operations,preferably in a manufacturing setting.

• Strongorganizational and problem-solving skills.

• Attentionto detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Effectivecommunication skills and ability to work collaboratively acrossdepartments, especially with production managers and production planners.

• Familiaritywith inventory management systems or ERP software is an advantage.
