X-Ray Technologist (Part-Time)

Beacon Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Location: 2900 Chancellor Drive, Crestview Hills, KY 41017 Schedule: 2–3 days per week | No evenings, nights, weekends, or on-call requirements

Position Summary

Beacon Orthopedics & Sports Medcine is seeking a patient-focused X-Ray Technologist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic radiographic procedures while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be skilled in positioning patients, operating radiologic equipment, and adhering to all radiation safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for radiologic examinations by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort.

  • Accurately position patients and operate X-ray equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Follow established protocols for patient care, radiation safety, and infection control.

  • Utilize and maintain appropriate radiation protection and shielding devices to safeguard patients, staff, and visitors.

  • Inspect and monitor radiology equipment to ensure proper functionality and promptly report equipment issues or malfunctions.

  • Document completed procedures accurately and timely within the electronic health record (EHR) system.

  • Maintain examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adequate stock of medical and radiology supplies.

  • Clean, disinfect, and sterilize equipment and work areas in accordance with facility standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Protect patient privacy and maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.

  • Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and continuing education activities to maintain licensure and professional competencies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Certification/License Requirements

  • Completion of course in Radiological Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.

  • Must maintain certification with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (AART) and an active Indiana State license.

USD $24.48/Hr. USD $36.71/Hr.
