Duties Description Creedmoor Psychiatric Center (CPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrists to serve as the Clinical Leads of multidisciplinary treatment teams. Positions are available in (CPC) inpatient units.As a Psychiatrist at CPC, you will provide comprehensive, patient centered and recovery focused treatments to individuals with mental illness 18 year of age or older; including:• Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments and patient admissions• Creating treatment plans including medication management• Obtaining and reviewing appropriate laboratory tests and consulting with members of treatment team as needed• Providing individual and group psychotherapy• Supervising Psychiatric Residents and Fellows

Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (HELPS) program if they have:Psychiatrist 1: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and completion of a training program in psychiatry approved by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). Psychiatrist 2: License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and certification in psychiatry approved by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).ORCandidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.*Limited permit option: If you are licensed in another state or by written examination in Canada, AND meet the other requirements for Psychiatrist 1 or 2, you are also eligible if you have a current limited permit to practice medicine in New York State. If appointed, you must obtain your license within one year of the date your limited was issued. Failure to do so will result in removal from your position.

If you are appointed and subsequently listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of these lists (or excluded from any other Federal or federally assisted program), you may be terminated from your employment.2. If appointed you may be required to become an enrolled Medicare provider; obtain and provide to your employer a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number issued by the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES); and otherwise actively participate to the degree necessary to allow for your services to be billed through Medicare and Medicaid. If you are appointed and you lose the ability to bill through Medicare and Medicaid, you may be terminated from your employment.3.
