Essential Job Duties:

  • Develops and implements individualized recreational therapy treatment plans; provides therapeutic and leisure services while monitoring patient progress and documenting outcomes.

  • Collaborates with physicians and care teams to assess appropriateness of referrals and supports patient care through education, scheduling, and coordination of services.

  • Provides guidance, training, and mentorship to staff; ensures accurate clinical documentation and efficient workload management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation required.

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in recreational therapy or behavioral health setting preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Recreation Therapy Standards of Care and patient-centered practices.

Licenses / Certifications:

  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
