About the Role and What We're Looking For

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Service HWO associated equipment when in the yard facility in preparation for mobilisation/deployment.

  • Perform maintenance on all equipment according to Maintenance Sheets.

  • Assembly of new equipment and components.

  • Perform maintenance on diesel engines.

  • Maintain documentation of work scopes and test procedures.

  • Conduct testing applicable after servicing and testing are complete.

  • Update equipment maintenance records.

  • Carry out various maintenance requests at the SESA facility and offshore.

  • Assist field supervisors in troubleshooting equipment problems and deploy technicians, if necessary.

  • Perform visual and mechanical inspections on the fleet of trucks, trailers, forklifts, overhead cranes, and any other equipment obtained for transporting equipment.

  • Coordinate pull testing and load testing of lifting eyes on equipment.

  • Request purchases for replacement parts and/or services with immediate supervisor.

  • Inspect all assembly parts, winches, lifting devices, hydraulic hoses, and report any defective material or questionable component conditions to supervisor.

  • Provide assistance to Field Operations on projects, as needed.

  • Observe and follow all company safety rules and policies.

  • Perform basic housekeeping of workstations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Qualified Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Machinery Mechanic, Plant Mechanic or Fitter.

  • Experienced in forklift operation.

  • Knowledge of and ability to read and comprehend equipment certification and test charts, OEM manuals

  • Dogman signals for crane operations

  • Behavior Based Safety System and Risk Assessments.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Capable of using different machines and tools; understanding their purpose and specific uses.

  • Qualified to diagnose and solve general problematic mechanical issues.

  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude, i.e. Diesel mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics.

  • Ability to operate a forklift, jib crane, overhead crane, and man lift.

  • Capable of working at heights.

  • Firefighting and spill containment.

  • Experienced in performing basic electrical (LV) repairs.

  • Ability to conduct work simultaneously between multiple jobs.
