Description

TheDirect Support Professional (DSP)provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.

Foggintownis an 11-bed residence set back from the road in a quiet residential neighborhood in Brewster, NY. We are conveniently located near many different walking trails, restaurants, and shopping areas. The individuals who live here are mostly older and enjoy a combination of quiet relaxation and laid-back outings. Each has a unique personality and has their own way of communicating and forming relationships. Most have lived together for many years and feel like a family unit but welcome new, friendly faces as the dynamic begins to shift to include younger folks as well.Foggintownis a great place to work if you enjoy helping people of all different ability levels. Your contributions can have a huge impact and change lives in many different ways as you support people with everything from the simplest day -to -day tasks, to helping people realize life-long dreams!

A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.

HOURS: 26 hours weekly - Sunday 8a-10p, Monday & Tuesday 4p-10p

Starting Salary: $19.44 - $21.39 per hour with additional shift differentials as applicable

Minimum Requirements
