Description
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to provide onsite support for a manufacturing operation in Columbus, Nebraska. This Long-term Contract position will work closely with plant leaders and employees across multiple shifts, helping maintain a productive, compliant, and employee-focused workplace. The ideal candidate brings strong employee relations experience, sound judgment, and the ability to manage day-to-day HR activities in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities:.

Onboarding activities for new hires by coordinating orientation, completing employment documentation, and supporting employment eligibility verification.

Maintain accurate personnel files and HR records while supporting reporting, documentation, and data tracking needs.

Assist with payroll- and benefits-related HR administration and respond to employee questions regarding HR processes and programs.

Promote a workplace culture centered on safety, accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement through regular floor presence and collaboration with operations leaders.

Ensure HR practices align with federal, state, and company employment guidelines in a manufacturing setting.
Requirements
-
Experience in a Human Resources Generalist or comparable HR role.

Experience supporting onboarding, HR administration, compliance activities, and employee documentation.

Ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and adapt effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Proficiency with HRIS platforms and familiarity with payroll or benefits administration processes.

Manufacturing or industrial environment experience is preferred.

Bilingual English and Spanish skills or HR certification are considered an advantage.
