Position Information: $101,760 - $170,050 The base salary range represents a good faith salary range for this position. This position is eligible for annual incentive pay and has the opportunity for continued salary growth. American Water is also proud to offer employees learning opportunities and work experiences to grow professional. * #LI-Onsite * #LI-MR23 _ Primary Role_ The Senior Manager of Treatment will manage the personnel, capital resources, and business processes that are engaged in the functional area of Production. Key Accountabilities * Develop and support a team of front-line supervisory and technical staff engaged in production operations. * Implement training and development programs to ensure that personnel obtain and maintain appropriate operator certifications from regulating agencies. * Manage union and/or non-union labor issues and participate in the collective bargaining process. * Monitor the financial performance of production operations to ensure that business plan goals are met. * Direct the planning, acquisition or construction of new and/or upgraded production facilities in accordance with approved CAPEX budget. * Implement and manage a preventative maintenance program for capital assets that provides OPEX savings and defers CAPEX spending, where possible. * Manage and monitor the effectiveness of security efforts at all production facilities, including the preparation of Vulnerability Assessments and Emergency Response Plans. * Implement processes to ensure that adequate quantities of treated water meeting all regulatory standards are provided to customers at all times. * Oversee business processes to ensure that American Water policies are followed, best practices are implemented, and internal/external reporting requirements are satisfied. _ Knowledge/Skills_ * Knowledge of the regulated water business and the regulations impacting the business. * Knowledge of company policies and procedures and management theories, practices, and trends. * Expert knowledge of process and operational areas. * Ability to lead, motivate, and empower employees. _ Experience/Education_ * Bachelors in science or engineering related field is preferred * A minimum of 10 years relevant experience * Must have experience in management of people, processes, technologies, and budgets is required. * Must have experience with Microsoft Office Applications; Strong Excel knowledge * Prior experience managing 20 or more direct or indirect reports is strongly preferred _ Travel Requirements_ * Role will be 5 days in-office at 213 Carriage Ln, Delran, NJ 08075 * Must be able to travel for meetings * On-call responsibilites _ Certifications/Licenses_ * Must hold a valid State issued Driver’s License. * T4 Water license preferred. * T3 Water license is required _ Competencies_ Decision Quality Develops Talent Drives Engagement Plans, Aligns, & Directs Prioritizes & Role Models Safety Self-Awareness * Join American Water...We Keep Life Flowing*™ * American Water is firmly committed to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and prohibits employment discrimination for employees and applicants* based on his or her age, race, color, pregnancy, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, marital status, citizenship, or because they are an individual with a disability, protected veteran or other status protected by federal, state, and local laws.
