What You'll Do
As a Machine Operator, you'll play a critical role in the production process, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to quality standards.
Production & Machine Operation
-
Operate and monitor forming and extrusion equipment
-
Manage the production process from raw materials to finished products
-
Adjust machine settings to maintain quality and efficiency

Perform routine quality inspections using calipers and micrometers
-
Troubleshoot minor equipment issues to minimize downtime

Assist with machine setups and product changeovers

Complete production and quality documentation accurately
Equipment Cleaning & Maintenance
-
Disassemble and reassemble machinery for cleaning and maintenance
-
Wash, sanitize, and polish equipment according to company standards

Support maintenance efforts to keep equipment operating at peak performance

Follow all sanitation and SSOP procedures
What You Bring
-
At least 1 year of machine operating experience OR mechanical training
-
Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand tools
-
Ability to use or learn precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
-
Comfortable working with technology and touch-screen control systems
-
Reliable attendance and willingness to work a rotating 12-hour schedule
-
Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality
Preferred Qualifications

Extrusion or plastics manufacturing experience
-
Press or punch machine operating experience
-
Manufacturing sanitation or industrial cleaning experience
Work Environment
-
Fast-paced plastics manufacturing facility producing everyday consumer products such as cups, containers, and utensils

Active, hands-on role involving walking, lifting, bending, and climbing stairs

Warm and noisy production environment (hearing protection provided)

Rotating 12-hour day or night shifts
-
Consistent 3/4 schedule with only two weekends worked per month

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leola, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.59/hr.
