School Aide – Port Hueneme, CA

Location: Elementary, Middle, and Junior High School Settings

Schedule: Full-time | Part-time | Flexible substitute opportunities available

About the Role

Make a meaningful impact every day by supporting students’ academic, behavioral, and personal development in a school environment. As a School Aide, you’ll work closely with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to help students succeed—both inside and outside the classroom.

This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible hours, part-time work, or substitute assignments in a supportive and purpose-driven setting.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist students with instructional tasks under the direction of classroom and special education staff

  • Provide behavioral support and help reinforce positive learning strategies

  • Support students with personal care, mobility, and therapeutic needs as directed by care plans

  • Encourage student independence, confidence, and engagement

  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

  • Collaborate with educators and support teams to meet student goals

  • Follow individualized care plans and guidance from health and education professionals

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with children

  • Ability to follow directions, maintain confidentiality, and work as part of a team

Required Compliance & Certifications

  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
