Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations tailored to patients’ age and diagnosis using proven assessment methods and techniques.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient conditions and prognoses.

Coordinate physical therapy interventions using current and effective therapy techniques.

Accurately detail patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in accordance with hospital, departmental, and physical therapy guidelines.

Communicate pertinent patient care information with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers, including developing teaching plans and evaluating learning efficiency.

Evaluate and manage patient pain levels, performing pre- and post-treatment pain assessments as needed.

Delegate treatment tasks to encouraging personnel while ensuring appropriate supervision and documentation.

Identify patients ready for discharge and contribute to the discharge planning process, including making equipment recommendations and referrals for services.

Follow all regulatory requirements and standards, including The Joint Commission, state and federal regulations, and Physical Therapy standards of practice.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment, managing and operating equipment accurately.
Shift: Sunday - Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm
Qualifications
Education:
-
A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required (minimum).

Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (preferred).
Experience:
- One (1) or more years of experience in an inpatient acute care setting (preferred).
Licenses and Certifications:

Physical Therapist License (PT) California State License (required).

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA (required).
