Job Description

JOB TITLE: Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]
LOCATION: 575 Washington Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07310.
DUTIES: Participate in the design, deployment, and operations of enterprise data platforms across multiple cloud environments, implementing high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery patterns aligned to firm controls and regulatory requirements. Implement reference architectures, landing zones, and reusable patterns that operate within corporate networks and governance guardrails. Execute migrations of on-premises data workloads to cloud environments using automated infrastructure provisioning, standardizing environments across development, test, and production. Build and maintain reusable infrastructure modules and policy configurations to improve consistency, delivery velocity, and operational resilience. Develop and tune distributed data processing pipelines supporting analytics and machine learning use cases at scale. Optimize compute configurations, job parameters, and data layouts to improve throughput, latency, reliability, and cost efficiency for production workloads. Apply enterprise controls including access management, encryption, secrets management, and automated protection for sensitive data. Enforce governance guardrails, tagging standards, and policy adherence to meet internal and regulatory obligations. Partner with platform, data, and application teams to design, test, and support production-grade services, participating in incident response and post-incident reviews. Contribute to continuous integration and deployment automation, observability practices, and ongoing improvement of large-scale cloud applications.
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer or related occupation. This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Building and automating secure, scalable cloud data processing pipelines using cloud fundamentals, Terraform, Spark, Python, Git, Parquet, SQL, and encryption at rest and in transit; Operating and supporting production data services with observability and logging, data governance practices, policy and configuration as code, incident response, and core networking with VPC, DNS, and proxies; Implementing scalable security and reliability controls using guardrails enforcement, least-privilege IAM/RBAC, automated testing for infrastructure and data, blue/green or canary deployment strategies, and HA/fault tolerance/DR patterns aligned to RTO and RPO objectives.
