Delaware Elevator, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives across our global and regional supply base. This leadership role is responsible for sourcing raw materials, mechanical assemblies, and electrical components while driving supplier performance, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and long-term procurement strategies that support our manufacturing operations and field service network.

What You'll Do

As our Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will serve as a key business partner across Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Operations, and Supplier Quality to ensure a reliable, cost-effective, and high-performing supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute multi-year category strategies for safety-critical elevator components, including traction machines, motors, ropes, electronic systems, and other key commodities.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for raw materials, mechanical assemblies, and electrical components across regional and global suppliers.
  • Negotiate Long-Term Agreements (LTAs), pricing, commercial terms, and supplier contracts to maximize value while minimizing risk.
  • Evaluate supplier performance through ongoing scorecards, quality metrics, delivery performance, and business reviews.
  • Consolidate and optimize the supplier base while identifying opportunities for improved efficiency and cost savings.
  • Analyze commodity market trends, raw material indices, and total spend to forecast cost impacts and establish standard costs.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, material shortages, and market volatility to ensure business continuity.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, New Product Introduction (NPI), Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Operations teams to review technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Support sourcing decisions that align with manufacturing schedules, inventory strategies, and operational objectives.
  • Act as a trusted business partner across the Delaware Elevator network, leveraging purchasing power to support both manufacturing and field operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen supplier performance, improve procurement processes, and enhance overall supply chain effectiveness.

What We're Looking For

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field required.
  • MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive strategic sourcing and supplier management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of sourcing experience within OEM elevator manufacturing or heavy industrial/mechanical manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated success negotiating complex supplier agreements and managing strategic supplier relationships.

Preferred Certifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • APICS, CPSM, CPSD, or equivalent procurement certification

  • Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and procurement analytics tools.
