Solution Architect - Technical Lead

Overview

As a Solution Architect, you will work with our growingDevSecOpspractice evaluating,identifying, and developing complex software solutions usingcloud-native services, APIs, andmicros-service solutions. We are looking forcandidates with experience writing software using AgileandDevSecOpsmethods such as build/release management, CI/CD practices, and test automation.

Contributions

• Design, develop, and deploy modular micro-services and cloud-based systems

• Understand the needs of stakeholders and convey this to other developers

• Write and debug code for innovative software solutions

• Troubleshoot software quality,securityand reliability issues

• Participate in code reviews and quality assurance activities

• Automate unit and functional tests

• Test and examine code written by others and analyzing results

• Evaluate,identifyand develop complex software solutions using APIs, microservices, and cloud-native solutions

• Ensure that software is secure against cyber threats

• Identifytechnical problems, perform root cause analysis, and develop software updates and ‘fixes’

• Support production releases (including deployment, troubleshooting, and testing)

• Document software code, features, and training guides

• Document as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations

• Leverage virtualization and containerization tooptimizeand modernize software systems

• Act as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team members

• Engineer and implement solutions andproviderecommendations for continuous improvement for the servicesprovided

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance

• Bachelor's degree in an IT field OR Bachelor's degree in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience

• 8Years of experience with Java / React

• 8Years of experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket

• 8Years of experience with one or more programming or scripting languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript)

• 5Years of experience with one or more clouds (I.e.AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• 5Years of experience using CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines,CircleCI,TravisCI

• Experience implementing docker containers andutilizingplatforms such as Kubernetes

• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks including unit testing

Preferred:

• Certifications:

• AWS Cloud Practitioner

• AWS Solution ArchitectProfessional

• Azure Developer Associate

• 5 years of application development experience in an Agile environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,000 to $225,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
