Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking for a Senior Security Installation Specialist to join their team in Boston, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate should be a seasoned professional with extensive experience in installing, programming, and commissioning integrated security systems, including IP-based CCTV, alarm sensors, access control devices, and security software platforms. This senior-level role supports complex new construction and retrofit projects across commercial environments such as hospitals, universities, data centers, and industrial facilities in the Greater Boston area. The candidate should demonstrate a high level of technical expertise, project coordination skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality installations.
In addition to core technical responsibilities, the ideal candidate will lead operational testing, system verification, and customer acceptance processes. They will assist in training end users, generate detailed reports, and identify and resolve code compliance or installation issues. A key aspect of this role is mentoring less experienced team members, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement. The candidate should also be comfortable coordinating with trade contractors and supporting project scheduling to ensure seamless execution. Skills and Requirements
5+ years of experience installing and/or troubleshooting Card Access Readers, CCTV Cameras, Security Cameras, Door Security Hardware, and Security Alarm Sensors in a commercial and construction environment
Experience with programming these systems through Software House, Genetec, or similar platform software
Working knowledge of Electrical Theory, Vault meters, Circuitry, and Relay Functions
Mechanically inclined
Comfortable in an open construction environment Massachusetts or Rhode Island Class D Electrical License
Ability to read and understand construction documents
Experience installing strikes from scratch
