Summary

Step into a leadership role and help drive production success. As a Line Lead, you’ll oversee daily operations on assigned production lines or processing areas, supporting the department supervisor with workforce coordination and workflow execution. You’ll play a hands-on role in keeping production running safely, efficiently, and on schedule while helping guide and support team members on the floor. This position has a base rate of $20.40 per hour, with opportunities for pay premiums, shift differentials and overtime where applicable. Annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee work at various stations along the production lines processing poultry food products.

  • Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE, preventing, and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management related matters.

  • Ensure that the qualities of the products are met according to the product specifications of QA and USDA.

  • Ensure that all equipment throughout the departments is running smoothly.

  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment.

  • Lead and train line team members.

  • Monitor production lines for efficiency and quality.

  • Implement safety protocols and report incidents.

  • Maintain accurate records and reports.

  • Control labor and material costs.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years in a comparable field.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required.

  • Lead or supervisory experience in a production environment.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

When in a plant environment:

  • Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.

  • May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and100% humidity.

  • May handle products from 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • May be exposed to noise ranges of 50db to 110 db.

  • May be exposed to dust, feathers and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.

  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.

  • Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm. Able to stand for several hours.

  • Work may include lifting (up to 50 lbs), reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly.
