Sr. Business Analyst
Location: Frankfort, Kentucky (Remote)
Role Overview
A position is available for a Senior Business Analyst to support a range of projects, including Medicaid Community Engagement (MACE), non-MACE changes, and the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) initiative. This role also involves providing general support to the day-to-day activities within the Director’s office. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual capable of working with minimal supervision and possessing strong technical writing skills.
Key Responsibilities
Provide oversight for major system implementations, including WIC modernization and Medicaid Community Engagement Requirements.
Assist division management by attending meetings and helping resolve issues escalated by project staff.
Review and offer feedback on legislative bills and Statements of Work (SOWs).
Aid in monitoring system vendor contracts to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Monitor change requests by release and program funding to inform budget development.
Serve as a liaison with the security team to research and respond to inquiries.
Generate and track monthly issuance reports for programs such as SNAP, TANF, CCAP, and Medicaid.
Assist in validating high-profile, urgent data requests before they are distributed.
Research inquiries, draft responses, and coordinate with the Security and Compliance Team for IT audit reports.
Participate in federal audits by providing responses and coordinating with the relevant teams.
Required Qualifications
Prior experience in providing business analysis on a large-scale IT system or experience in eligibility determination or administration for programs such as Medicaid, SBM, SNAP, TANF, CCAP, or WIC.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of recent, relevant work experience.
A minimum of three years of experience as a Business Analyst or a strong background in public assistance programs.
Experience in defining business problems, gathering requirements, and verifying solution implementation.
Ability to manage a substantial workload with general direction.
Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
Developed problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Adaptability to a changing, fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of the SDLC methodology.
Detail-oriented with strong facilitation and relationship management skills.
It is essential to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on the Design, Development, and Implementation (DDI) of a major IT project is preferred.
Work Schedule
This is a 40-hour per week position, with a flexible schedule available during standard business hours from Monday to Friday.
