Job Description
We are now hiring for a facilities maintenance tech in the Corbin and London, KY areas. Responsible for maintaining building systems, performing repairs, and ensuring the facility remains safe, clean, and fully operational. This role supports daily operations through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and hands‑on repair work across multiple building areas.
Key Responsibilities
*Perform routine repairs on doors, walls, fixtures, flooring, and equipment throughout the facility.
*Conduct scheduled inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and minor part replacements to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
*Assist with basic heating and cooling system checks, filter changes, and reporting issues requiring licensed technicians.
*Replace bulbs, troubleshoot minor electrical issues, reset breakers, and ensure safe operation of lighting and outlets.
*Clear drains, repair minor leaks, replace faucets, and maintain restroom functionality.
*Maintain outdoor areas including mowing, trimming, debris removal, snow/ice control, and seasonal upkeep.
*Assist with cleaning tasks, floor care, waste removal, and maintaining sanitary conditions in high‑traffic areas.
*Complete assigned work orders, document repairs, and communicate status updates to supervisors.
*Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and vendors while resolving facility concerns.
Required Skills & Qualifications
*Experience in building maintenance, groundskeeping, or custodial work
*Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
*Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
*Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
*Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
*Prior work in facility operations or maintenance technician roles
*Experience with landscaping, mowing, or outdoor property care
