Job Title: Maintenance Technician - WEEKLY PAY - $25 TO $30 AN HOUR

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will collaborate with supervisors and co-workers to achieve the company's objectives. You'll conduct preventative maintenance checks, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment while ensuring a safe and clean working environment. Your role requires utilizing PC-based maintenance management systems, performing welding and metal fabrication duties, and training others in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance. You will also be involved in basic electrical work, responding to production-down issues, and working on cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with supervisors and co-workers to meet company objectives.

  • Wear appropriate PPE in designated areas.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance checks and inspections.

  • Utilize PC-based maintenance management systems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment systematically.

  • Test equipment after repairs and ensure a clean and safe area.

  • Maintain housekeeping standards and promote safety expectations.

  • Respond to production-down issues to minimize downtime.

  • Perform welding, metal fabrication duties, and basic electrical work.

  • Train others in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance.

  • Complete all assigned work orders and be available for call-ins.

  • Work on cross-functional teams and perform maintenance to avoid interruptions.

Work Environment

The work environment involves a larger facility with over 50 employees. You will work 1st shift from 3 PM to 1 AM, Monday through Thursday, with Fridays available for overtime. The environment is not temperature controlled and may involve exposure to dust, dirt, odors, and high noise levels. Dress code requires work jeans, steel toes, and clothing with no profanity. Physical requirements include standing for 8+ hours, lifting weights of 50 to 70 pounds, and working in temperatures of 90+ degrees.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, SD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
