Job Description
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in general housekeeping within academic and residence buildings. Responsibilities include distribution of keys and radios at the beginning of shift, provide miscellaneous cleaning supplies for custodial staff, and assist fellow employees in removal of snow from entranceways during the winter. Fill in for sick calls, perform and direct general project work
Base Rate: $32.53 per hour
Requirements
*An ability to perform heavy and repetitive physical labor, lifting up to 50 lbs.
*The ability to communicate / comprehend both verbally and in writing in English. This includes: reading and understanding work schedules, label warnings on cleaning products; writing work orders, taking direction and communicating with staff, students and faculty
*Must maintain a valid driver's license
*Must be able to shovel snow and be willing to work overtime for snow removal
*The ability to stay after the end of their shift in cases of emergencies (i.e. floods, snow...)
*Willingness to work all types leads overtime as needed (Game Matron, Game Cleanup, Project work...)
*Ability to direct activities and task to on call staff and student help as needed.
