Full job description

Starting date: 2026-27 school year

Hours: 6.75 @ WMS SDC (Specially Designed Classroom) Class III Starting rate of pay: $24.83 per hour For more information please review the  Administrative Professional and Paraprofessional Contract   Position Description : Assist Special Education Licensed Staff with academic adaptations, self-care and social/behavioral needs for students in special education.  This support may be provided in the general education classroom, special education classroom or community. Special attention will be given to candidates with experience working with students who present emotional and behavioral challenges. Ideal applicants will have experience with positive behavior support strategies, utilizing trauma-informed practices to reinforce a structured, supportive environment that promotes student growth and well-being.    Qualifications :

  • High School diploma required. Highly Qualified Status Required.  Preference for 2 year post-secondary training.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work in a variety of settings with a variety of students and staff.
  • May need to lift, pull and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing to assist in the eating and toileting needs of students.
  • Must maintain data privacy and confidentiality for all students.
  • Computer skills preferred.
