Full job description

  • Troubleshoot and correct problems with equipment, processes, and components.

  • Monitor and maintain equipment safety devices.

  • Monitor and maintain proper component quality standards.

  • Coordinate and monitor proper start up and shut down of the molding processes in the area.

  • Coordinate and monitor the maintenance of system filters and Conair system.

  • Perform pull/sets of mold tools.

  • Set up and maintain granulators, conveyors, separators, mold temp control units, water temp control units, resin dryers and scales for assigned machines.

  • Perform required inspections, mold approvals, rejections, setup of gauges and leak testing.

  • Responsible for accurate and timely production reporting.

  • Assist with repairs when needed.

  • Perform and ensure completion of all PMs.

  • Ensure all inspections are completed in a timely manner.

  • Assist with continuous improvement projects.

  • Ensure supportive communication between shifts.

  • Ensure proper clean up and disposal of wastewater and waste oil.

  • Assist in training new personnel as requested.

  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or GED required.

  • 1+ year experience in molding.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.

  • Basic computer keyboard and navigational skills including Microsoft Office.

  • General knowledge of molding machines, resins and processes preferred.

  • Good understanding of mold design and operation preferred.

  • Thorough knowledge of molded parts, quality specifications and inspection procedures preferred.

  • PCP Level = 3
