Full job description

Job Title: General Production Worker

Shift: Sunday-Tuesday: 630am-700pm; Wednesday 630am-100pm

Pay Rates: 19.50-22.50 per hour

Job Description

This role supports seed production operations throughout the year, performing a variety of seasonal tasks that ensure high-quality seed is harvested, processed, packaged, and shipped on time. You will work with production and field equipment, follow standard operating procedures, and maintain strict safety and quality standards while adapting to changing seasonal needs.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process trucks hauling crop from the field, including weighing and unloading materials during harvest season (September–October).

  • Perform a wide range of harvest activities, such as husking and sorting operations, to support efficient crop processing.

  • Operate dryers to dry crop within prescribed safety, quality, and financial requirements, ensuring consistent product quality.

  • Shell and store crop from bins in the dryer facility, maintaining accurate handling and flow of materials.

  • Supply the Conditioning department with a steady and reliable flow of seed to keep production running smoothly.

  • Apply appropriate treatments to seed according to established procedures and safety guidelines.

  • Label, tag, bag, and palletize seed during the November–March period to prepare product for storage and shipment.

  • Safely perform general production, packaging, machine operation, inspection, loading, unloading, and related tasks as assigned.

  • Work both indoors and outdoors

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $22.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
