Position Summary:
As a key member of our Warehouse team, the OnDemand Delivery Driver plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized operation. This position supports core warehouse functions, including receiving, picking, packing, wire cutting, and cycle counting, while ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards. The role also involves learning effective material handling and movement to meet customer demands and ensure smooth operational flow.
In addition to warehouse responsibilities, the OnDemand Delivery Driver is responsible for OnDemand deliveries, ensuring the timely and professional delivery of materials to United Electric customers. within designated 2-hour windows. Exceptional customer service, safe driving practices, and professionalism are critical to maintaining our company's reputation and delivering on our value proposition.
Position Responsibilities:

Loads van for deliveries ensuring the material is correct and secure.

Creates shipping Manifest for all deliveries.

Provides basic maintenance to the van. Reports any malfunctions.

Keeps mileage record and expenses encountered.

Observes all safety regulations

Receives incoming materials, checking packing slips against actual merchandise received. Inspects materials for obvious defects. Solves related problems and notifies supervisor as necessary.

Stocks shelves, ensuring materials are in their designated area. Pulls materials from warehouse shelves to fill current orders, back orders, inter-branch transfers, and will call orders. Carefully identifies quantities and customer specifications. Utilizes RF guns for much of the picking & packing function.

Packs and ships materials in designated cartons per customer order and department procedures.

Receives and hangs reels of wire in designated area. Cuts wire to customer specification for counter, will call, and other specific sales orders.

Posts purchase orders and other related data into the computer system.

Communicates with the sales department when material ordered is not available.
This is a safety sensitive position:

May be required to operate powered industrial trucks.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. several times a day, bend, twist, and climb.

Must wear approved PPE and company logo shirts while on the clock.

Qualifications:

Must be able to work Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Currently, this role is 75% warehouse and 25% delivery.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. several times a day, bend, twist, and climb.

Must be able to successfully pass a physical exam and drug screen.

Minimum High School Diploma

Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience (CDL is not required)
