Caterpillar currently has an opening for an Material Handler I position supporting Reman Drivetrain located in the West Fargo, ND facility. The Material Handler l is responsible for basic stocking and pulling parts as well as delivery of materials and supplies.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year job related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Must possess ability to learn new tasks, read/write and interpret standard work instructions

General Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Performs basic material handling and warehousing functions required in the receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing and shipping of parts, materials, equipment and supplies

  • Accurately and effectively utilize data collection systems

  • Perform basic unboxing, small part pulls and provide general warehouse support

  • Maintains administrative related records and operates computer to access and update information for receiving, counting and order processing

  • Use basic mobile equipment as required to facilitate job function

  • Actively listen and follow directions provided to you

  • Ability to work independently with support from Team Leads and Section Manager

  • Ability to understand labeling and flow of work in progress

  • Ability to understand and follow SWI’s and daily Production Schedules

  • Ability to adhere to facility policies to include good attendance and company values

  • Any duties or tasks that may be assigned to promote cross training or support for various areas of the shop

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Follow established facility safety policies, safe job procedures and hazardous risk assessments and use the proper PPE for the specific job being performed

  • Ensure customer requirements are met

  • Ability to interface with plant management, supervisors and production personnel

Compensation & Benefits Offered!

  • Hourly Pay Range: $20.53 - $26.13 (salary negotiations to be offered based on skills/experience)

  • 1st shift Work Hours: 6:00AM- 4:30PM

  • Monday - Thursday with occasional overtime on Fridays

  • 40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime

  • 80 hours of vacation with an additional 24 hours of paid Personal Time Off (PTO)

  • 10 Paid holidays

  • 100% 401k match up to 6% offered on day 1 of employment

  • Health, dental, vision, & life insurance offered on day 1 of employment

  • Potential annual performance increase

  • Paid holiday shut down at the end of the year (dependent upon business needs)
