Due to continued growth in 2026, we are hiring an additional Utilities Project Manager with major capital construction project management experience for electric utilities. Most of the work is done remotely but both office and site visits are required to S. Hackensack, NJ Headquarters as well as Utilities Client sites and meetings/ training as needed within MD and Northern VA.

Hybrid: Mostly remote in MD and Northern VA

Are you an Assistant PM or PMP with Electric Utilities T&D or Substation experience and a hunger to grow this year? Due to increased Client requests, Boswell is seeking additional Project Managers or Senior Project Manager(s) with experience in the electric utility industry. Our Utilities Project Management Team is an exciting and fast-growing Team with numerous growth and training opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Project managers are assigned projects that range from replacing a breaker at a substation to building an entire new substation and/or relocating or upgrading transmission lines (preferred experience up to and exceeding 500kV) .

  • Typical substation projects may be breaker replacement, cap bank heaters, bus work, transformer replacement, control house rehab or replacement, extending a substation yard, or a new substation

  • Typical transmission projects may include replacing insulators, replacing the OPGW, adding circuits, or a new transmission line

  • Project managers may also be assigned transmission line routing studies

  • Client will provide all of the necessary training for both the project management system that is utilized and all of the mandated client safety training and FERC training

  • Adhere to internal standards, policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Engineering is preferred

  • Formal project management training is preferredwith PMP Certification highly preferred

  • An absolute minimum of two (2) years of Utilities project management or coordination experience in managing medium to high to extra high voltage substation and/or transmission line projects is required but Project Engineers who work closely with experienced Project Managers

  • Client requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status for site access.

  • NO 3rd Party agency submittals or inquiries please!
