This is a bargaining union position.

This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday, Thursday and Friday 11:30am-8pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am - 6:30pm.

Position Summary

Join a fast-paced, mission-driven team where every interaction makes a difference in the patient experience. As aPatient Transport & Support Services Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, timely, and compassionate transportation of patients throughout the hospital while delivering exceptional customer service to patients, families, and caregivers.

This dynamic position is at the heart of hospital operations, requiring teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to quality. You will safely transport patients to clinical departments and treatment areas, assist with the movement of supplies, specimens, equipment, and other essential items, and help maintain the efficient flow of hospital services. In addition, you will manage linen distribution, assemble and exchange linen carts, and perform cleaning, disinfection, assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of equipment to support a safe care environment.

The ideal candidate thrives in an active, hands-on setting, enjoys helping others, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service. Success in this role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work collaboratively with patients and healthcare professionals. Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal communication abilities

  • CPR/AED certification preferred

  • No prior experience required; comprehensive training provided

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including up to 10 miles per shift

  • Ability to safely push and pull carts and equipment weighing more than 74 pounds

  • Ability to perform frequent movement of patients, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital
