POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Digital Accessibility Analyst is an individual contributor responsible for supporting the execution of digital accessibility efforts across HealthPartners' digital ecosystem. This role works closely with senior accessibility practitioners, user experience designers, developers, quality assurance teams, and business partners to help ensure digital products and content are accessible, inclusive, and compliant with accessibility standards.

This position focuses on hands-on testing, issue documentation, remediation support, and day-to-day collaboration, while building deeper expertise in accessibility standards, assistive technologies, and inclusive design practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Experience, or Equivalent Combination

Bachelor's degree in Accessibility, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

One (1) year of experience conducting accessibility testing,identifying,and remediating accessibility issues, and supporting long-term accessibility initiatives.

One(1)year of software testing experience in an Agile environment.

Working knowledge of WCAG 2.1 (AA) and Section 508 standards.

Experience using assistive technologies such as screen readers (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver), keyboard-only navigation, and browser accessibility tools.

Familiarity with basic front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how accessibility issues manifest in code.

Experience documenting accessibility issues clearly and consistently for design and development teams.

Proficiency with common productivity tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Experience, or Equivalent Combination

Experience working in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industries.

Experience with document accessibility and remediation (PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Familiarity with automated accessibility testing tools and manual testing techniques.

Exposure to design systems or component libraries and accessibility considerations within shared components.

Interest in growing accessibility expertise through ongoing learning and mentorship.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

(60%) - Accessibility Testing & Evaluation

Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing of web and mobile experiences under the guidance of senior accessibility team members.

Identify, document, and communicate accessibility issues, risks, and recommendations in a clear and actionable manner.

Support validation of remediation efforts to confirm accessibility improvements.

(20%) - Design & Development Collaboration

Partner with UX designers to review wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications for accessibility considerations.

Collaborate with developers to clarify accessibility findings and support implementation of recommended fixes.

Apply accessibility best practices consistently across assigned projects and initiatives.

(10%) - Standards & Continuous Learning

Apply established accessibility standards, guidelines, and internal practices to day-to-day work.

Stay current on accessibility tools, techniques, and emerging best practices through training and self-directed learning.

Escalate complex or high-risk accessibility issues to senior accessibility team members as appropriate.

(10%) - Education & Support

Support accessibility education efforts by sharing guidance, resources, and examples with project teams.

Promote awareness of inclusive design and accessibility considerations during project work.
