Senior Maintenance Technician - Laser Development Labs

Description -

HP is seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to support advanced laser development labs in Corvallis.

This role is ideal for an experienced, hands-on technician with strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills who can independently diagnose equipment issues, support lab systems, and contribute to reliable operation of critical R&D equipment in an enviornment that is ultra-focused on safety.

Responsibilities:

  • The technician will maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, and lab support systems; lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis; assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and prototype system bring-up; and support documentation, safety, and process improvement efforts.

  • Over time, the role includes hands-on training in laser and optical systems, including laser equipment support, optical alignment, and beam delivery systems.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • 5 years of relevant maintenance experience in manufacturing, R&D, facilities, or similar environments.

  • Strong electrical troubleshooting experience is required, along with mechanical aptitude, the ability to read schematics and technical drawings, and the capability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Prior laser or photonics experience is not required.

  • This position is designed for a strong all-around maintenance technician who is interested in growing into a specialized laser and optics support role.

Knowledge & Skills Preferred

  • 3D Modeling

Machine sop processes and tooling

  • AutoCAD

The pay range for this position is $35 to $55 USD per hour (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
