Position Summary:

In this role, you will be working on our Daedex line of products to bring new technology into mission-critical markets like data centers, battery plants, chip manufacturing and more. We are seeking a qualified, innovative production engineer to join our growing organization. The purpose of the role is to bridge design and production, optimizing designs for manufacturability while enhancing processes to support high-reliability units. In this position, the candidate will be supporting new work coming into Operations and will be creating manufacturing packages to produce high-quality products. The candidate will be working with liquid coolant distribution units and HVAC systems and components including but not limited to: enthalpy & sensible plate heat exchangers, energy recovery wheels, gas and electric heaters, hot water coils, cold water coils, DX coils, filter racks, control dampers, fan array systems, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project management and project ownership from job release to job completion

  • Technical lead for all manufacturing processes

  • Purchasing components and vendor management

  • Communicate with clients and vendors to obtain materials and/or equipment needed

  • Creating manufacturing packages including shop drawings, and assembly instructions

  • Providing shop/Manufacturing support

  • Create engineering solutions for sheet metal design optimization

  • Participate and/or lead Continuous Improvement efforts

  • Drive improvements in yield, cycle times, and first-pass quality through data-driven continuous improvement initiatives

  • Support sales team with design review to ensure successful installation

  • Lead new concepts and product designs through the factory, ensuring efficient troubleshooting and rapid iteration to meet aggressive timelines.

  • Implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) strategies early in the design process, collaborating cross-functionally to optimize manufacturing outcomes.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process plans, ensuring compliance with quality standards like AS9100.

  • Lead efforts to resolve hardware nonconformance issues promptly, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Act as a technical lead in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues, supporting production and quality teams

Qualifications & Requirements:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering

  • 2+ years of full-time engineering experience

  • Proven track record of success in an industrial manufacturing environment

  • SolidWorks experience

  • 2D CAD experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred:

  • Experience in the commercial HVAC industry

  • Lean Six Sigma certification
