Full job description
Facility: McAuley Residence SNF Sub Acute
Shift: Shift 2
Status: Full Time FTE: 1.000000
Bargaining Unit: SEIU Local 1199
Exempt from Overtime: Exempt: No
Work Schedule: Evenings with Weekend and Holiday Rotation
Hours: 4:00pm to 12:00am, with weekend and holiday rotation.
Summary:
Maintains facility, equipment and grounds in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Federal, State standards, guidelines and regulations, facility established policy and procedures.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
-
High School diploma or GED
-
Valid NY State driver’s license preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Two (2) years’ experience in building and maintenance preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
-
Have working knowledge of heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills, and other general maintenance areas
-
Ability to use various power tools
-
Communication skills which may be inclusive of approach, tone of voice, speed of communication, respectfulness and non-verbal communication

Must be able to read, write and speak the English language

Must possess basic math skills
WORKING CONDITIONS:

Standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, heavy lifting up to 40 pounds

Must have sufficient dexterity to handle equipment efficiently and safely

May work in cramped areas

May be exposed to hazards from electrical, mechanical and power equipment

Driving may be required
-
Required to be on call on a rotating schedule
