Position Summary

The Technical Training Supervisor is responsible for leading the Company's technical training function across multiple manufacturing facilities and shifts. This role provides day-to-day leadership to the Technical Training team, oversees the development and delivery of technical training programs, and ensures employees receive consistent, effective, and compliant training that supports operational excellence, food safety, quality, and workplace safety.

Reporting to the Head of EHS & Technical Training, this position supervises Technical Trainers and the Technical Training Content Developer while serving as the primary administrator and owner of the Company's Learning Management System (LMS). The Technical Training Supervisor partners closely with Operations, Engineering, EHS, Quality, HR, and other business leaders to build and sustain a world-class technical training program that develops employee capability, improves operational performance, and strengthens regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and day-to-day supervision of the Technical Training team across multiple facilities and shifts.

  • Establish team priorities, assign workloads, monitor performance, and support the professional development of Technical Trainers and the Technical Training Content Developer.

  • Ensure consistency in training delivery, documentation, and instructional standards across all sites.

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of technical training programs supporting manufacturing, warehouse, engineering, maintenance, quality, food safety, and environmental health and safety.

  • Develop standardized learning pathways and training curricula based on job roles and operational requirements.

  • Partner with department leaders to identify training needs and implement effective learning solutions.

  • Ensure new hire onboarding, technical skills training, cross-training, annual refresher training, and regulatory training programs are effectively managed.

  • Serve as the primary administrator and owner of the Company's Learning Management System (Alchemy preferred).

  • Manage course creation, user administration, assignments, reporting, training records, and system maintenance.

  • Lead the implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of the LMS to maximize employee engagement and training effectiveness.

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of technical training content by collaborating with Operations, Engineering, EHS, HR, Quality, Maintenance, and other subject matter experts.

  • Ensure all training materials comply with OSHA requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety regulations, SOPs, company policies, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Review and approve training content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company standards.

  • Monitor training completion, compliance metrics, qualification status, and learning effectiveness.

  • Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership highlighting compliance, training progress, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Identify training gaps and implement corrective actions to improve employee knowledge, operational performance, and regulatory compliance.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance employee capability, operational consistency, and training effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, Food Science, or a related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, technical training, learning and development, operations, or a related field.

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

  • Experience developing technical training content and managing training programs in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience implementing or administering a Learning Management System (Alchemy preferred).

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to deliver engaging training to groups of varying sizes.

  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to build strong partnerships across Operations, HR, Engineering, EHS, Quality, and other business functions.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Experience creating instructional videos and multimedia learning materials is a plus.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments.

  • Regular travel between Cibo Vita's Totowa facilities is required.

  • Frequent time spent in production and warehouse areas observing work processes, supporting trainers, and validating training effectiveness.

  • Must follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety, sanitation, and company safety policies at all times.

  • Exposure to manufacturing environments including loud noise, moving machinery, elevated platforms, temperature variations, and other industrial conditions while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Ability to stand, walk, and conduct training for extended periods as business needs dictate.

  • Willingness to maintain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification and respond as a trained first responder when necessary.
