Full job description

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Rotating Shift

Description: This is a grant funded position. The Talent Acquisition Partner will be able to provide more details in the form of a Grant Funded Position Agreement. Position Purpose

The Aetna Foundation Children's Center Provides state of the art services to child victims ages 0-18 (and their families) of sexual abuse and serious physical abuse in a manner designed to avoid re-traumatization of the child.

What you will do

  • Orient the family to the Center and the evaluation process and respond to questions

  • Provide follow-up and monitor services for child victims of sexual abuse and for their families through the phases of investigation, prosecution, and treatment

  • Conduct case tracking of Children's Center cases from an initial report through prosecution and mental health treatment

  • Provide crisis intervention services as necessary

  • Maintain statistics regarding services received and outcomes

  • Interact with professionals from other disciplines and agencies involved in child abuse investigations and provision of services to victims and families

  • Provide case management services for victim and family throughout investigation and prosecution, medical and mental health processes

  • Assist in developing written material for parents, to be used in the Center for support/education

Minimum Qualifications

  • B achelor's degree in human service field, Bachelor of Social Work preferred

  • Two (2) years experience in children's services including child abuse and/or victim advocacy

  • Spanish speaking desirable

Position Highlights and Benefits

  • Full time 40hrs, mostly M-F days but requires flexibility to meet the needs of the clientele
