Job Description/Requirements.

Proposed Schedule : Up to 19.75 hours per week with a minimum of 16 hours per month. Shifts will vary based on the operating hours and needs of the Health Center.

The Radiologic Technologist I is responsible for delivering age-appropriate, population-specific care to patients utilizing radiation-producing equipment following State, Network, department, and manufacturer’s recommendations and guidelines to create diagnostic radiographs. Exams are performed as directed by an MD, DO, PA or NP while embracing the Core Values of Quality, Appreciation, Creativity, and Sustainability in pursuing the HHHN Mission and Vision.

  • Select proper technical factors and patient positioning for the creation of diagnostic quality radiographs.

  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to radiation safety and infection control policies and protocols.

  • Perform daily Quality Control testing on the x-ray machine.

  • Maintain proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to schedule exams, process orders, initiate billing, and distribute imaging results to providers.

  • Maintain proficiency in Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS to deliver images to radiologists and permanent archives.

  • Maintain a log of all patients x-rayed.

  • Maintain a clean and orderly x-ray room.

  • Understand and adhere to departmental policies and procedures.

  • Notify the supervisor immediately of any equipment malfunctions.

  • Attend staff meetings and participate in committees/workgroups as requested.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
