We are hiring 4 Special Education Teachers in Bedford, Ohio to support students in self-contained classroom settings across Autism, Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Multiple Disabilities (MD) programs.

Available Openings

Autism Unit (1 Opening)

  • Work with students across a wide range of autism spectrum needs

  • Self-contained classroom setting

  • Provide individualized instruction and behavioral support

Emotional Disturbance (ED) Unit (2 Openings)

  • Focus on relationship building and social-emotional growth

  • Support students in developing appropriate behavioral and coping skills

  • Self-contained classroom environment

Multiple Disabilities (MD) Unit (1 Opening)

  • Support students with significant physical and developmental disabilities

  • Work with students who may require mobility assistance and specialized accommodations

  • Self-contained classroom setting

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized instructional programs

  • Provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEP goals

  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

  • Participate in student program planning and progress monitoring

  • Deliver tutorial assistance and educational support services

  • Maintain compliance with educational and professional standards

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

  • Valid state teaching certification as required by state and district regulations

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of teaching experience

  • Standard Elementary Teaching Certification

  • Standard Secondary Teaching Certification

  • Standard Special Education Teaching Certification

  • Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) Endorsement

  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)

  • Current health clearance requirements, including TB screening, as required
