Schedule: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 6043 Winthrop Commerce Ave City: Riverview State: Florida Postal Code: 33578 Job Description:

Shift: Days - Monday through Friday 7:30AM-4PM

Spots mistakes or inconsistencies in medical documentation and corrects information to reduce errors.

Ensures physician signs off on addenda and completes patient charts. Write reports and correspondence, demonstrating proficiency in typing, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral communication.

Listens to complex medical information and summarizes it clearly and concisely.

Translates medical abbreviations into their expanded forms and maintains confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Maintains and coordinates multiple forms and paper documentation related to patient care, ensuring organizational ability. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Transcription skills preferred, or two-year degree in healthcare/ HIM or more experience in a medical office. [Required]
Work Experience:
- 2+ experience in a medical office. [Required]
- Experience with transcription software and medical coding training or certification are preferred, but not required. [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$15.87 - $25.38 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
