Full job description
Advatech Pacific performs design and analysis activities. These activities includes metallic and composite components using a range of tools, including finite element analysis (FEA) and hand calculation methods. Advatech has an available position for a Structural Engineer that will focus on the analysis of various aerospace structures and components.
Required Qualifications:

Experience with Nastran, ANSYS or other applicable analysis software programs. 3-15 years’ experience performing hand calculations and FEM analysis for loads, stability, stress, and fatigue analysis.

Experience working as a lead with other engineers.

Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Analyzing components and structures.
-
Recommending design changes when a component doesn't meet criteria.

Generating project schedules and cost estimates.

Experience as the primary interface with customers, contractors, and vendors.

Demonstrated experience mentoring less experienced engineers.

Experience reviewing other engineers’ work to maintain a high level of quality.

Creating presentations and reports to document design choices and analysis results.

Presenting results to customers during design reviews.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Knowledge of Aircraft Gas Turbine Engines, Rotors, Shafts and Blades is highly desirable or experience with aircraft structures and composites in the following area’s; Design, fabrication, and analysis of composites, formed aluminum, cast, and other metallic components (Spars, Assemblies, Ailerons, Wing Box, Winglets, Pylons, Wing Edges, etc.).

Experience brainstorming design concepts a plus
Education
Requires a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
