Positions details:

  • Location: Morton Plant Hospital - Clearwater, FL

  • Status: Pool - as needed

  • Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

  • 2 weekend shifts per 6 weeks

  • On Call: No

  • Always in person

Requirements:

  • RN (Registered Nurse) License

  • Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing

  • 18-month's experience in the Dialysis in an Acute Care setting

  • BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

  • ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

The Pool Registered Nurse – Hemodialysis responsibilities and skills:

  • Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of Dialysis patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards

  • Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team

  • Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care

  • Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.

  • Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition

  • Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients

  • Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge

  • High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient

  • Professional accountability and development
