Overview:

Sentara Neurology Specialists are seeking to hire a Senior Certified Medical Assistant.

Position Location: Norfolk, VA

Position Status: Full-Time, Days

Overview

Perform patient care related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation, and as delegated or assigned by and/or under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Perform administrative duties, as appropriate.

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certification

Must have one of the following Certifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant

  • Registered Medical Assistant

  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

  • Certified EMT (EMT-B, AEMT)

  • BLS certification required within 90 days of hire

Experience

  • Patient Care experience of 3 years required.
